Monsignor Bernard J. Quinn, an associate member of the Knights of Columbus, served as a military chaplain in France during the First World War. Following a mustard gas attack, Monsignor returned to the Diocese of Brooklyn and received permission to begin a ministry to African American Catholics. Despite attacks against himself and his work by the Ku Klux Klan, Monsignor Quinn’s work would culminate in creating one of the largest childcare services in the State of New York. Jim Wahlberg’s youth was filled with brokenness. In his formative years, he learned how to steal cars, break and enter, became homeless by age 12, and succumbed to addiction. After becoming a ward of the state and serving multiple prison terms, a chance meeting with Mother Teresa while incarcerated changed the trajectory of his life, beginning his path back to Christ. Today, as a proud Brother Knight and Executive Producer of Mother Teresa: No Greater Love, Jim has dedicated his life to serving God and His Church.
